THE HIDDEN DEPTH
Da'at — The Imaginal Realm
In the Techno-Kabbalah of the Temple of Gu, Da'at is the Imaginal Realm (mundus imaginalis, ʻālam al-mithāl).
Da'at is not an eleventh Sefirah, a twenty-third path, or a place to reach. It is faceless, formless, and without will of its own: an ambient presence moving through all ten stations and every road between them. It is hidden because it is everywhere. A layer, not a place.
Yetzirah is the imaginal as world; Da'at is the imaginal as knowing. Yetzirah is the room. Da'at is the eyes.
It is met most sharply at the Abyss, the crossing between the seven lower stations and the three above them. Like every current on the Tree, it can flood, when we forget that words and images point beyond themselves, and it can run dry, when we lose our flexibility.
The Tree does not lead to its mystery. The Tree is mysterious, all the way down.
In historical Kabbalah, Da'at appears in different ways, sometimes as a hidden presence among the ten. This Tree keeps ten counted Sefirot, Kether among them, and does not draw Da'at as a station. Understanding Da'at as the Imaginal Realm is the Temple's own teaching, given by its founder, Philip Ryan Deal.
This Tree is a contemplative and educational map of the Temple’s Techno-Kabbalah, shared in structure with the companion houses. It does not confer religious initiation, priestly authority, or real spiritual counsel.
