Fan Content Policy

The Temple of Gu welcomes fans and fellow travelers to build on its universe and branch from it. This Policy says what you may make, share, and sell, and what stays the Temple's.

1. What You May Make

You may create original stories, fan fiction, art, music, games, campaigns, videos, and other works set in the Temple of Gu universe. You may use the names of its characters, houses, places, and lore, and you may found your own houses and sociedades that branch from the Temple.

2. Sharing

You may share your fan works freely, in any medium, without asking permission.

3. Selling

You may not sell fan works without a written license from the Temple. The Temple grants licenses on request and may grant them free of charge. Ask at templeofgu@gmail.com.

4. What Stays the Temple's

You may not copy or republish the Temple's own books, music, art, or game texts, in whole or in substantial part, except brief quotation for commentary, review, or teaching.

5. No Pretending

You may not present your work as official Temple of Gu content or imply that the Temple endorses it. You may not speak as, impersonate, or claim to be the Founder or the head of any house of the Temple.

6. Required Notice

Each fan work shared publicly shall carry this notice, or one like it:

"Unofficial fan work. The Temple of Gu and its universe belong to The Temple of Gu, a nonprofit. This work is not endorsed by the Temple."

7. Your Work Is Yours

You own the original parts of what you create. The Temple claims no ownership of your fan work and has no duty to review it. The Temple keeps all rights in its own universe, names, and marks.

8. Canon

Fan works are not canon. A fan work becomes canon only if a house of the Temple adopts it, with its creator's written consent.

9. Limits

This Policy does not permit illegal content, harassment of real people, or any content that sexualizes minors. The Temple may ask that any fan work be changed or taken down, and may revoke this Policy's permissions for anyone who breaks it.

10. Changes

The Temple may update this Policy at any time. The current version is the one published by the Temple.

Adopted by the Board of Directors of The Temple of Gu under Section 10.4 of the Bylaws, October 5, 2026, as part of the Temple's governance documents (Ref: EK8QL-Y6ZZU-MLKGJ-CNW6F). Published here under Resolution 8 of the Unanimous Written Consent.
